Kaks Kodu 8% modern wee heavy with (lots of) honey

What should I tell you about our latest beer, Kaks Kodu?

I could tell you it’s inspired by the duality of having two homes whilst feeling like you nowhere is really your home.

I could tell you it’s about searching for a way to blur the lines between rich malt sweetness and decadent honey sweetness.

I could tell you it’s about shared connections  and ingredients common to two places.

I could tell you it’s about independently coming across two absolutely amazing apiaries and being desperate to showcase their honey.

There’s lots I could tell you about Kaks Kodu - but what I’m going to tell you is that it is like eating toast that is absolutely *dripping* in honey.

Can you imagine that? Well imagine some more, because it’s got even more honey than that!

The base is our modern wee heavy, and the honey is made from buckwheat (representing Estonia) and heather (representing Scotland). It comes from Kopli mesi and Puusepa Mesindustalu.

Malts: Golden promise, black oats, amber malt

Hops: East Kent Goldings, Magnum

Yeast: Fermentis S-04

Extras: Buckwheat honey, Heather honey
