Kirju koer 11.5% imperial pastry stout
Every Estonian knows what a KIRJU KOER is: a spotted dog. A childhood memory. A legend. A cake made with chocolate, biscuits, butter and fruit jelly bites. And now it is also a stout.
To tackle something so iconic, we needed help from the dark magic virtuosos themselves - and nobody does it quite like Moersleutel does. So we promised them cake and we lured them in all the way from Netherlands. And together we brewed a beer so thick and sugary it almost broke our brewhouse. And then we waited.
Kirju koer is a strong 11,5% Imperial stout, perfect for the cold season ahead, mighty-bodied and warm. We taste cacao, orange peel, red berry marmalade, marshmallows and just a tiny hint of nostalgia.
If you know, you know. If you don’t, it’s time to woof woof 🐶
